Lisa Fox
Author and Forgotten Patriot Descendant
Lisa Fox has been researching her Milton/Melton family for over 10 years. She is the 4th great granddaughter of Josiah Milton/Melton of Southampton County, Virginia who provided aid and comfort during the American Revolutionary War.
Lisa is the daughter of Lewis & Geraldine Milton White. She was born in Chicago, IL. She is married and has two children and three grandchildren. She has a B.S. from DePaul University and an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management. Lisa is a member of the Afro-American Genealogical Society of Chicago. She’s written several articles for AAGHS about her family. Lisa has had leadership roles in the National Daughters of the American Revolution. She is also a member of the Society of the First African Families of English America. Lisa is currently researching the Milton/Melton, Jones, Mumpherd, White, Jackson, Lewis, Berry, Lake, Vaughn, and Prater families in AL, MS, NC, VA, GA and SC. She enjoys traveling and exploring historical sites around the world.
